CLASS DESCRIPTIONS AND POLICIES
TAP - Classic steps, shuffles, time steps, flaps, for the beginner through
advance dancer.
Funk Tap- for the more advanced tapper, funky rhythms and beats, tap
with a street flair
Ballet- classical style Barre and floor work, teaching the
Cecchetti Method
Lyrical- expressive style of dance, using the music and dance to tell a
story through balance, control and emotion
Contemporary- lyrical dance using the musicality of the song, using the
mood of the music to guide your movements and tell your story
Hip Hop- funk style, pop an lock, mixing old school and new street
Creative Movement- for the 3-5 year olds, developing strong legs, coordination and musicality using role play and positive reinforcement
Break dance- hip hop combined with floor work and foot work, spins, freeze and pop-n-lock
CLASSES Run 1 HOUR PER WEEK EXCEPT CREATIVE MOVEMENT THIS CLASS IS 45 MINUTES PER WEEK.
Aerobics- cardio workout with our AFXX certified instructor Christine, offering low to high impact, Body Sculpting, Kick Boxing and core strengthening.
Stretch and Strengthen- elongating the muscles by stretching, lengthening your body and creating leaner muscle, warming tehm up and using light weights to add resistance. Increasing flexibility and balance.
Dance Education_this class will meet the 3rd Friday of each month. Dance History, Music analysis, Rhythmic analysis, Choreography, Costuming, Fitness, Nutrition, Dance Movie comparison, History of Modern, Jazz, Theatre, College Auditions.Injury prevention, And Much More.

Competition team level classes are available(ages 6and up); these classes are for those students who would like to consider dance as more than a recreation, it is taking the dance experience to the next level. More information is available by calling or visiting the school, we attend 3-4 local competitions and are involved in local dance events. The competition team has had the privilage of working witht he best in the business today. Mia Michaels, Wade RObson, Brian Friedman, Lorianne Gibson, Shane Sparks, Cris Judd, Travis Wall, Nick Lazzarini, Ray Leeper, Dave Scott, Gil Dualdamo, Mike Minnery, Dan Karatay,Mandy Moore, Allison Holker, Jamie Goodwin, and many more!
The Competition team practices together 2-4 days per week:5-10 hours per week.

DRESS CODE: Ballet: leotard and tights, pink ballet slippers,hair back and neat.
Lyrical and Modern: Leotard and tights or capris,bare feet, hair back and neat.
Tap: Leotard and tights or capris, tap shoes, hair back and neat.
Jazz and Hip Hop: Jazz pants or capris, leotard, jazz shoes, hair back and neat.
Break-dance: loose fitting comfortable clothes, sneakers.
Creative Movement: Leotard and tights of any color, dance skirts, ballet slippers. Hair up.
Boys: black pants an a black or white t-shirt, appropriate shoes.
Competition Team: Leotard and tights for all classes, hair up and neat. 1 lb ankle weights.
STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO SCHEDULED CLASS TIME, PLEASE WALK CHILDREN INTO THE WAITING AREA, DO NOT DROP THEM OFF AT THE DOOR. THANK YOU.
Class cancellation policy: please call Studio phone due to inclement weather, if school is canceled please call to check on your child's dance class, updates will be made throughout the day on the studio machine.
We are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas break, February vacation, April Vacation, and Memorial Day

Our Annual recital is held in June, each one hour class will be required to purchase a costume for the show. One costume bill per child will be sent home is November, Costume deposits are due in November and the Balance is due in March. We will have a picture day in May for all students a schedule is posted 3 -4 weeks prior to picture day. Please check your times carefully.
ALL TUITION IS DUE ON THE FIRST CLASS OF EACH MONTH,IF TUITION IS NOT RECEIVED BY THE 15TH OF THE MONTH A $10.OO LATE FEE WILL BE ADDED TO TUITION. THERE IS A $20.OO FEE FOR RETURNED CHECKS.
